We wanted to give you a little insight into life behind the brand at Urban Veda, so thought we would start by introducing some of our team members. Today we're starting with Sheilesh who founded Urban Veda back in 2013!
Name: Sheilesh Shah
What is your role and what does it entail?
I’m the Founder of Urban Veda which encompasses quite a lot. I also own a few other brands, so my days are never the same and my role is very varied. Some days you’ll find me with my head down in the office, and other days I’ll be on the forklift in the warehouse! I try to pay close attention to every aspect of the business, so I get involved in a number of tasks. Every day is quite varied!
What is your dosha type?
I am a Kapha type which means I stay calm, loyal and quite grounded (my team say this is incredibly accurate). My skin is best suited to the
Purifying range.
What is your favourite Urban Veda product?
I have two favourite Urban Veda products – the Purifying Body Wash and Soothing Body Lotion.
What’s your proudest Urban Veda moment?
I always feel proud of Urban Veda and my team, but our initial launch in October 2013 and our Facial Oil launch event in 2017 were definitely highlights for me.

Tell us something about you that we don’t already know...
Whilst I seem to spend every waking moment working, I really value spending quality time with my family. I have two beautiful girls aged 10 and 15, who I adore. I’m also very partial to a nice meal in the West End!
