How to Use a Copper Tongue Scraper

Use the Ayurvedic Copper Tongue Cleaner first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, before brushing your teeth. Relax the tongue, scrape gently from back to front, then rinse your mouth. Rinse the scraper in hot water afterwards and store it somewhere clean and dry.

A toothbrush is designed to clean hard enamel. A tongue scraper gently sweeps the soft surface of the tongue, which is why tongue scraping has been part of the Ayurvedic morning routine for centuries.

How to Dry Brush Your Body (Garshana)

Garshana is the Ayurvedic ritual of dry body brushing, a form of massage that softens and gently exfoliates skin. Before showering or bathing, on dry skin, start at your feet and brush with rhythmic, sweeping motions towards your heart. Our vegan Dry Body Brush is made from walnut wood and cactus fibre.

How to Use a Kansa Wand on Face and Body

  1. Face: cleanse, then apply a few drops of facial oil so the wand glides smoothly.
  2. Use slow, gentle strokes from the centre of the face outwards and upwards, over the cheeks, jawline, forehead and temples. Use the smaller end around the eyes.
  3. Body: apply body oil to clean skin and use the larger end in long strokes towards the heart, with circular motions over joints.

Our Dual-Sided Kansa Wand combines kansa, a traditional Ayurvedic alloy of copper and tin, with natural teak wood.

A Simple Daily Ayurvedic Ritual

Scrape your tongue when you wake, dry brush before your shower, then finish with an Abhyanga oil massage using one of our natural body oils. Looking for a present? The Digital Gift Card can be spent across the whole range.
