Crafted with aromatic botanical oils rooted in Ayurvedic traditions, this purifying body oil helps support detoxifying massage while nourishing and revitalising the skin, creating an energising, spa-inspired experience.
How to use

Urban Veda Body Oils are designed to be used with the Ayurvedic ritual of oil-based massage, Abhyanga, which is practiced to condition skin, stimulate limber movement, and calm busy minds. To follow an Abhyanga ritual, begin by rolling the bottle back and forth between the palms to lightly warm the oil. Dispense 4-5 pumps of oil, rub between palms for a moment and inhale the pure aromatherapy oils, before massaging for 5-15 minutes. Starting at your extremities, and adding more oil as needed, use long strokes along your limbs moving towards your heart, while switching to circular motions over joints, torso and chest. Allow to absorb before dressing or bathing.
Active Ingredients

Sweet Almond - Rich in vitamins A and E, monounsaturated fatty acids, proteins, potassium and zinc, sweet almond oil is a natural oil with a slightly nutty fragrance. It helps to cleanse and moisturise the skin and is used to reduce skin inflammation and to help skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. A lightly hydrating oil which is non-greasy and reasily absorbed.

Rose Geranium - With a strong, floral aroma, Rose Geranium is known for its healing effects and is traditionally used to reduce the visible appearance of cellulite through massage. It is soothing to dry skin, but also boasts detoxifying properties which help to clear congested complexions.

Patchouli - An oil traditionally used to aid meditation, and with a distinctive musky and earthy fragrance, patchouli is said to help stimulate the growth of healthy skin cells and heal dry, rough or inflamed skin. This in turn helps with wound healing and to reduce scarring.

Spearmint - has a sweet, fresh and menthol aroma which can help skin conditions such as acne and dermatitis. Packed with health benefiting vitamins A, C, B6, antioxidants and phytonutrients, Spearmint helps to relieve stress and fatigue and is more gentle than Peppermint.

Neem - is a very powerful antiseptic and antibacterial plant, which makes it an excellent natural ingredient for those who have excess skin oils, and require some mild cleansing properties throughout their skincare regime. Neem helps to alleviate Kapha and Pitta imbalances.

Bearberry - contains naturally brightening compounds Arbutin and Hydroquinone, as well as Ursolic acid and bioflavonoids; active compounds which help combat oxidative damage and free radicals caused by pollution.

Witch Hazel - Widely cultivated for its medicinal properties, and known for its heavily scented flowers, Witch Hazel's astringent properties, antioxidant and bioflavonoids content help to clarify skin. Traditionally, Witch hazel is used to bathe varicose veins and soothe irritant skin rashes.
