Name: Wendy Cook: at Nephrotic
Nephrotic syndrome is a collection of symptoms due to kidney damage. At NeST, we care because we understand. Our founders, especially Wendy Cook, have the perfect balance of expertise and empathy and they know just how challenging it can be living with the condition yourself or caring for a child who has it.
What is your role and what does it entail?
Director of a kidney charity Nephrotic Syndrome Trust (NeST). As the director, I project the charity forward to raise awareness and coordinate fundraising as well as supporting individuals and families who suffer from the condition.
What is your dosha type?
I am a Vata dosha type which means my skin is best suited to the Radiance range. As a Vata, I am imaginative and can adapt mentally in situations very easily.
What is your favourite Urban Veda product?
The Radiance Day cream - the smell is beautiful and my skin is left feeling so soft and hydrated. I have noticed a real difference since using this product. It is my go to every morning!
What’s your proudest Urban Veda moment?
Of course it would have to have been when Urban Veda sponsored Nephrotic Syndrome Trust about a year ago. We have loved working with Urban Veda and value their support hugely.
What’s your favourite skincare tip?
I think it is so important to take the time out to moisturise and ensure that our whole bodies get some TLC. I always moisturise after a shower which is a good way to lock in important hydration.
Tell us something about you that we don’t already know...
My favourite place to be is by the sea drawing and painting!! It is vital to know how to unwind and relax and for me, this is the perfect remedy!
