How To Clean Your Body Brush

It’s not just your body that needs regular TLC, your brush does too. After every dry brushing sesh, be sure to clean it properly. Clean brush, happy skin! To clean your body brush, please follow these steps:
  • Fill a bowl with warm water. The water level should just cover the bristles, not the wood.
  • Add three drops of tea tree oil (it has disinfectant properties).
  • Place the brush in the bowl, bristles facing downwards.
  • Move the brush around. The movement frees dead cells and dirt in the bristles.
  • Let it soak for 5-10 minutes then rinse with clean water, moving the bristles around to remove all tea tree oil.
  • Shake the brush then place it on a dry towel, bristles down to absorb excess water for a few minutes, then air dry away from the sun.
  • Enjoy using your brush all over again!

How To Use Your Body Brush:

Use every morning or evening before bathing. Get naked or in your undies. Start with the soles of your feet and legs, brushing upwards towards your heart in short, firm strokes – let the brush do the work – don’t press too hard as the bristles might scratch your skin. Use circular motions on your tummy and armpits, instead of short, firm strokes. Starting at the soles of the feet work, dry brush the skin with long sweeping movements towards the heart, focusing on areas prone to cellulite. When you get to your arms, begin at your hands and work the brush upwards. Don’t brush on sore, irritated or sunburnt skin.
